The relationship between frequency and wavelength for an electromagnetic wave is
[tex]c=f \lambda[/tex]
where f is the frequency, [tex]\lambda [/tex] the wavelength and [tex]c=3 \cdot 10^8 m/s[/tex] is the speed of light.

In our problem, the frequency of the wave is [tex]f=101.7 MHz = 101.7 \cdot 10^6 Hz = 1.017 \cdot 10^8 Hz[/tex], so the wavelength of the wave is
[tex]\lambda = \frac{c}{f}= \frac{3 \cdot 10^8 m/s}{1.017 \cdot 10^8 Hz}=2.95 m [/tex]
