4/12 in simplest form is 1/3
4/12 ÷ 4/4 = 1/3

Here is my solution , 
 
4/12 in simplest form , well 4/4 is equal to 1 , and 12 of course divided = / by 4 = 3 , because 4*3=12 , and 4*1=4 , so 4/4=1 and 12/4=3.
