The equation of a circle is:
( x - h )² + ( y - k )² = radius²

Therefore, in this example,
( x + 4 )² + ( y - 6 )² = 25
25 = radius²
[tex] \sqrt{radius^2} = \sqrt{25} [/tex]
radius = 5
