Personally, I consider John Brown a terrorist. While I agree with his ideologies of freeing slaves and being against slavery, I don't agree with his method of fighting slavery. He went around to different plantations and other areas and fought and killed slave owners, and then proceeded to fight the authorities. He would have been more successful with protests and boycotts. When someone uses violence people are far less likely to listen than using peaceful persuasion.
