She became the first African American woman to travel in space when she went into orbit aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour on September 12, 1992!! i think was really neat
Well for one she was American engineer for NASA and was the first women to travel to space(bet that was cool lol). Also i think personally that she was a symbol for women world wide.Showing that not only us men could do it.
