In chemistry for an chemical equation to be complete it has to be balanced using appropriate coefficients and state symbols such similar atoms are equal in both sides of the equation. The reaction between hydrogen sulphide and oxygen gas yields sulphur iv oxide and water as indicated by equation.
 2H2S (g) + 3O2 (g) = 2SO2(g)+ 2H2O(l).
