To figure this one out, we can simply substitute 12 in for x. So, we get f(x) = -23(12)+2 = -276+2 = -274. Hope this helps!

f(x) = -23x + 2......f(1/2)...this just means sub in 1/2 for x

f(1/2) = -23(1/2) + 2
f(1/2) = -23/2 + 2
f(1/2) = -23/2 + 4/2
f(1/2) = -19/2
