What is Wiesel primarily trying to persuade people to do in "The Perils of Indifference"?

Ellie wanted people to convey that indifference is way worse than anger or hate upon something. One group could be angry at injustice or turpitude. Indifference is basically the absence of compassion and it directs into something that is bad compared to straightforward hate.
