A rectangle length is 8 less than three-halves it’s width. The perimeter of the rectangle is given as 74 inches. Determine the dimensions of the rectangle

l = 3/2w - 8
p = 74
74 = (3/2w - 8) + w + w + (3/2w - 8)
74 = 5w - 16
74 - 16 = 5w
58 = 5w
w = 11.6
l = (1.5)(11.6) - 8
l = 9.4
