Let width be x

Length= x+3

P=2(x+l)
42=2(x+(x+3))
42/2=2x+3
21=2x+3
21-3=2x
18=2x
18/2=x
9=x

Area=(x)(x+3)
A=(9)(9+3)
A=108 yards²

Hope I helped :)
