Mercantilism is a theory that has no place in the present world. Comment.

personally, I think i agree with that statement

In mercantilism, a country/state will do everything it can within its power to accumulate as much wealth as possible with the expense of the suffering of neighboring countries/states. 
In the present world, i don't think there is a place for a system that let intentionally create suffering for our neighboring states.
