The turning point of a quadratic function is its vertex.

[tex]f(x)=x^2-2x+8\\ f(x)=x^2-2x+1+7\\ f(x)=(x-1)^2+7[/tex]

So the turning point of the above function is [tex](1,7)[/tex]
