Solve the following system using the elimination method: 2a+2b=4 and 4a-3b=8

a = 2
b = 0

2a + 2b = 4 → 4a + 4b = 8

(4a + 4b = 8) - (4a - 3b = 8) → 7b = 0

b = 0

so a = 2

2a+2b=4 a=1 and b=1

4a-3b=8  a=5 and b=4
