Find the area of a circle with a diameter 12 in

Area of a circle = π × r²

Diameter = 2 × r

Therefore, you need to half the diameter so you can work out the area of the circle.

12 ÷ 2 = 6

Now that you have the radius (6), you can work out the area:

π × 6² = 113.097336 in²
