A mixture is made up of evenly spaced atoms of copper and silver. Is the mixture a solution? Explain your answer.

A solution is when you have a solute and a solvent, for example, sugar and water. Since copper and silver are solids, they cannot physically be dissolved in each other. Think of it as a mix of granola and raisins. The silver is the granola and the copper is the raisins. Now, if silver were to be mixed with nitric acid, a liquid, it would be different.
