To find the product of two numbers, you multiply them

1/2*2/5

We have to multiple the numerators, and multiply the denominators
Numerators: 1*2=2
Denominators: 2*5=10

So the answer is 2/10 or 1/5

You have to multiply 1/2 by 5 to get a common denominator of 10 turning it into 5/10 and multiply 2/5 by 2 to get a common denominator of 10 equally 4/10 this gives you 9/10
