Then since 8 and 1 are in the parenthesis, I multiplied 8 and 1 to get 8. 8 to the 2nd power then comes out to 64. 64 adding the square root of 64 which is 8 then comes out to 64 plus 8 because the square root of 64 is 8. 64 plus 8 equals 72.
