Long answer: so for this equation we are going to be simplifying, so we’re trying to get the variable alone on one side, so first we add 4 to both sides, getting us 3a≤9. Then we divide both sides by 3 getting a≤3, but we’re not done, since when we multiply or divide, we must turn around the sign, making it a≥3. Meaning that a has to have a value of 3 or more. The properties used are addition and division.
