Slope = change in y / change in x

(sometimes told as "rise over run" as y is up/down and x is left/right)

What does that look like in an equation?

[tex]\frac{23--16}{4-31}[/tex]

Solve:

[tex]\frac{23--16}{4-31}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{39}{-27}[/tex]

[tex]-\frac{13}{9}[/tex]

So our answer is [tex]-\frac{13}{9}[/tex]

Hope this helps, have a nice day :D
