remember you can do anything to an equation as long as  you do it to both sides
with teh > or < signs, rmember to flip sign when multiplyig or dividing by a neagtive number

so
3(x-2)>-3
divide both sides by 3 (no need to distribute)
x-2>-1
add 2 to both sides
x>1
