It can boost the economy, like the Great Depression, we had a surplus of everything and by funding the war and sending out food it helped get rid of that surplus and raise back prices and it gave jobs

War boosts an economy by providing jobs to those who do not go to war and creates more jobs to help the war. Therefore, the unemployment rate goes down.

However a war hurts an economy by damaging land, killing people, and severing ties between possible allies.
