toluene has higher boiling point than benzene

Explanation:

Comparing toluene and benzene , the molecular mass of toluene is more than benzene , because of more number of atoms , therefore , the intermolecular forces will be more ,

And since toluene has more intermolecular forces , so more amount of energy is required to convert the the liquid toluene to gaseous .

Hence ,

Toluene will have higher boiling point than benzene .
