Why is UVA light considered to mutagen

Because it punctures the skin and can cause changes. UV rays are the radiation source that commonly affects the DNA, and it will penetrate the surface cells of the human skin. On the other hand, UVA radiation penetrates and cause mutations hence called a mutagen.
