12 eggs cost $2.30 thus we divide by 12 to get the cost of one egg.

2.30/12 = 0.19166666666 per egg

Now the same for the 30 eggs.

5.50/30 = 0.18333333333 per egg

thus, 30 eggs for $5.50 are a better deal
