The slope formula is y=mx+b where m is the slope.
First label your points x1= -1, y1=4,  x2=3,  y2=2
Then use the formula y2-y1/ x2- x1  and plug in your values.   

2-(-4) / 3 -(-1)= 6/4   Make sure to simplify your answer.
