Petar II Petrovic Njegos was the prince-bishop of Montenegro whose works are considered one of the most influential in Montenegrin literature. He created a centralized state due to his unification of the Montenegro's tribes. He also contributed to the liberation and unification of the Serb people. As a result he introduced modern political concepts to Montenegro.
