m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Plug in the points.

m= (15-1)/(3-(-1)

Two negatives equal a positive.

m= 14/3+1

m= 14/4

Divide each number by 2 to simplify.

7/2, or 3.5 is your answer.
