The first thing you should do is draw the ACB scalene triangle and name the vertices and distances. We will denote the vertices with capital letter and the distances with minuscules. Then, you must draw a triangle that is similar, in this case, ADB. Finally prove the Pythagorean theorem.I attach the solution.
