Find two numbers whose sum is 20 and difference is 1

Divide 20 by 2
20/2 = 10
Add and subtract 0.5* from 10
10 + 0.5 = 10.5
10 - 0.5 = 9.5
Those two numbers are your answer.

*The reason why we used 0.5 because the difference is 1, so divide 1 by 2.
