Patrick Henry dislike the British reaction towards the petitions made by the colonists.  He thinks that the British treat their resistance and pleading as a joke, especially since they usually ignore it and instead of trying to solve this conflict between the colonies and the Monarchy, they continue to implement more and more harsh Acts.
