You need to use FOIL. It works like this: multiply the F-irsts, multiply the Outsides, multiply the Insides, mulitply the Lasts. This gives you 6x squared+9x-2x-3. Now you just need to combine the like factors, giving you the final answer of 6x squared+7x-3.

use the F.O.I.L. method. First Outer Inner Last
2x*3x= 6x squared. 2x*(-1)= -2x. 3*3x= 9x. 3*(-1) = -3 all this =6x squared -2x+9x-3. = 6x squared +7x-3

6x squared +7x-3
