Point-slope form : y-y₁=m(x-x₁) ; Where m=slope

Passes through (6, -8) ; Slope is -2

Simply plug everything in :)

y - (-8) = -2(x - 6)

Simplify.

y + 8 = -2x + 12 → Answer

The answer from Openstudy is incorrect, because our slope is negative, not positive.
