It would be 35 dollars a ticket because 16,625 divided by 475 is 35.
Hope this helps! :)

Greetings!

"A charity sold 475 tickets to a dinner auction. If the charity raised 16,625 in ticket sales, what was the cost of one ticket?"...

This can be solved by creating an equation:
[tex]475x=16625[/tex]
Divide both sides by 475.
[tex](475x)/475=(16625)/475[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]x=35[/tex]

Each ticket costed $35.

Hope this helps.
