the answer would be A.x=2 because when you do this problem you would say 8x+40 +124=180 then you would add 40 and 124 to get 164 then the equation would be 8x+164=180 then you wold subtract 164 from both sides and then the equation would be 8x=16 then you would divide both sides by 8 and then the equation would be x=2 then that is your answer
