What are the equation(s) used to solve the absolute value equation below: |3x + 2| = 10

Hello,

if 3x+2>=0 then
 |3x+2|=3x+2=10==>3x=10-2==>3x=8==>x=8/3
else
 |3x+2|=-(3x+2)=10 ==> -3x-2=10==>-3x=12==>x=-4
end if
