Is 3/8 more or less than 3/6 please explain

It's less that 3/6 because the bigger the fraction is the smaller it gets. So what I'm trying to imply is ,that the higher the number is in a fraction then the outcome would be smaller.

3/8 is less because its only 3 out of that bigger number and 3/6 is bigger because its less numbers away.
