slope = 0.5=1/2

using the formula y-y1 = m (x -x1)

y - 0 =1/2(x - 4)

y = 1/2 (x -4); cross multiply

2y = x -4

divide both sides by 2

y = 1/2x -2

y = 0.5x -2(equation of the line)
