(4 + a)x - 14 > - 24

Add both sides 14

(4 + a)x - 14 + 14 > - 24 + 14

(4 + a)x > - 10

put the given value instead of x ( x = - 2 )

(4 + a)( - 2 ) > - 10

Divide both sides by - 2
