The confederate army didn’t want to be apart of The North anymore, when they wanted to separate, it was because they were tired of being disrespected and it seems as if their voices were not being heard. Many people think the war was based on slavery and that the Confederate states stood for slavery but that is wrong. American- Confederate general Robert E Lee was a main character in the confederate army.
