The volume of container can be calculated by the following formula

Volume = length * width * height

Given that

Volume = 40cm^3

Length = 4 cm

Width = 2 cm

And therefore height will be calculate as follows:

Height = volume / length * width

= 40 cm^3 / 4 cm* 2 cm

= 5 cm

Hence the correct answer is 5 cm
