Explanation:

change the equation to y = mx + b

[tex]4y - x = 2 \: →y = mx + b[/tex]

[tex]y = \frac{1}{4} x + \frac{1}{2} [/tex]

plug in the point (1,2)

[tex](2) = \frac{1}{4} (1) + \frac{1}{2}[/tex]

[tex](2) = \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

[tex]y = \frac{1}{4} x + \frac{3}{4} [/tex]
