we have

[tex]h(x)=3x+1[/tex] --------> equation [tex]1[/tex]

we know that

To find the value of [tex]h(-2)[/tex] substitute the value of [tex]x=-2[/tex] in the equation [tex]1[/tex]

so

For  [tex]x=-2[/tex]

[tex]h(-2)=3*(-2)+1[/tex]

[tex]h(-2)=-6+1[/tex]

[tex]h(-2)=-5[/tex]

therefore

the answer is

[tex]h(-2)=-5[/tex]
