Given parameters:

Width  = 2x + 1

Length = 6x

Unknown:

Expression for the area = ?

Solution:

The area of a rectangle is the space it occupies,

        Area of rectangle  = length x width

Input the parameter and solve;

       Area of rectangle  = 6x(2x + 1)

                                       = 12x² + 6x

The area of the rectangle is 12x² + 6x
