-3 in the equation will be where the line starts on the y-axis. The 3/4x is the slope or how steep the line will be. Always remember rise/run or rise over run. Basically it means that the numerator in the equation, the 3 means that the line will go 3 units up and the 4 in the equation will mean that it will go 4 units to the right. Hope this helped
