Explanation:
The muslim merchants were known for wearing very expensive expensive and finely woven clothes. Many of those fine goods were offered as payment, but there was little demand for such a thing in India, so the purchases were made with silver. Also, it is known that their diets included many exotic spices and herbs. Indians also sold plenty of different works of steel such as knives and swords.
