member ate 2 hotdogs. Use the equation 2m = 12 to find m, the number
of members in the Lee family.

You'll want to isolate the variable in the equation 2m = 12. This is easy, since there's a 2 in front of the variable.

Divide both sides by two

2m / 2 = m

12 /2 = 6

The new equation is m = 6

There are 6 members of the Lee family.
