Distribute.

2(4-d)= 3(2+d)
8-2d= 6+3d

Add 2d to both sides.

8= 6+5d

Subtract 6 from both sides

2= 5d

Divide

d=2/5

You could also subtract 3d and add 8 Instead after distributing.
