Earthworm does eat the soil that has organic matter such as leaves. The digestive system compose of pharynx,esophagus,intestine,gizzard and crop.After the food passes through esophagus, it then will be push down the crop where it is use for storage and then in the gizzard where the food is being grind. The difference then is for crop muscularity is soft while for gizzard it is hard.
